At Chisholm Leaders, students from diverse backgrounds collaborate across difference to confront injustice, reimagine systems, and build solutions rooted in equity and community. Students were admitted to programs at Howard University, Harvard College, Princeton University, Columbia University, Morehouse College, Whitman College, and more.
Cohort Two: Trailblazers
Cohort Two brings together 20 students from 18 states and the District of Columbia, selected from a national applicant pool representing 52 academic institutions. The cohort spans every major academic stage, from high school freshman to college students, with 37% identifying as first-generation college students. This cohort has students from all sorts of academic institutions, ranging from HBCU's to the Ivy League, from small private liberal arts colleges to big public universities, and from underfunded schools to some of the top academic programs in the nation (notable mention: Harvard College and Howard University). Members pursue a wide range of interests across engineering, politics, film, acting, and entertainment, blending civic leadership with creative ambition. With an overall acceptance rate of just 31%, Cohort Two reflects one of the most selective and geographically diverse classes in Chisholm Leaders history.

Cohort One: The Inaugural
Cohort One, the inaugural class of Chisholm Leaders, brings together 20 students from 16 states, evenly split between high school and college, representing schools such as Howard University, Morehouse College, Georgia State, UT Dallas, and high schools across the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast, West, and Southwest. Sixty percent of the cohort are first-generation students, and members are deeply engaged in civic life through organizations. Their top interests center on internships and grants, with nearly all participants naming career access as their #1 priority. Together, Cohort One reflects the academic, geographic, and lived-experience diversity at the heart of the Chisholm Leaders mission.
